A life sciences company sought to expand its digital and genomics talent sites. Korn Ferry identified top talent markets globally, considering talent availability, costs, and market attractiveness. After analyzing each factor, a long list of countries was narrowed down. The client received a list of top markets with pros and cons, a detailed analysis of the talent pool, costs, and market attractiveness, and insights on eight additional markets with potential for talent expansion. Business leaders used this data to successfully open new digital, bioinformatics, and genomics hubs.

Korn Ferry managed the recruitment for a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Malaysia, leveraging local expertise to meet urgent deadlines in 2021-22. The collaboration led to over 1,700 hires, 44% DE&I hires surpassing the 25% target, a 96% offer acceptance rate, 88% hiring manager satisfaction, and 90% candidate satisfaction. The project's success has prompted expansion into China and Taiwan, with Korn Ferry remaining the preferred partner for the client's second site in 2025.

An electric vehicle company partnered with Korn Ferry to fill key initial specialist tech and engineering positions. They faced a tough job market and high attrition at the onboarding stage. Korn Ferry’s strategic response involved a dedicated recruitment team, in-depth market studies, and a data-driven compensation analysis, leading to an increase in salary offerings. They also introduced a new onboarding process, including team lunches and regular ‘keep-in-touch’ calls, which significantly reduced candidate attrition and enhanced employee engagement. The successful partnership resulted in Korn Ferry being awarded a further 12-month contract to hire additional skilled workers.

A pharmaceutical client aimed to establish technology hubs to cut costs and eliminate third-party services. Two Client Innovation Centers were launched: one in Mexico with 250 initial hires, and a digital hub in India anticipating 450 initial hires. The focus was on building the client's brand, reviewing compensation, and improving engagement through a centralized recruitment process. High application volumes, especially in India with over 6,000 applicants in two weeks, led to the use of AI tools, cross-geography hiring, and robust change management. Market mapping was conducted for language requirements and niche skillsets.
Tech hub global builds
In 2022, Korn Ferry was tasked with structuring a Middle Eastern airline that had an aspiration to become the largest by revenue. The partnership expanded in 2023 to include RPO, aiming to recruit 30,000 employees by 2030. In eight months, Korn Ferry designed a top-tier talent acquisition process, recruited key personnel, established Talent Communities, and improved the Onboarding process for the airline's growth.
